Last week we saw the winners for the 2017 Ig Nobel prizes which had, like always, a very broad range of topics and discoveries. While many laugh at the topics we should all remember the goal of the Ig Nobel prize isn’t to find just the strangest research of that year but to honor the curiosity and drive that pushed the researchers to do what they did. Who knows what will be of critical importance 20, 50, or 100 years from now. Mind you, right now it is probably acceptable to get a good laugh in and remember never gamble after having played with a crocodile. What are your favorite Ig Nobel prizes from years past?
