While it was successfully launched earlier this week (and the booster was recovered) an interesting facet of the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) is its orbit around the earth. Scott Manley provides a very clear description of the orbital process and the orbit itself in this video and it is well worth watching for anyone interested in space or exoplanets. If only we could get humans back into so far ranging orbits, maybe in the coming decade if SpaceX continues its successes. Find out more about the TESS here https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/tess/
