On the latest “Voices from DARPA”, Program Manager Jonathan Pfautz speaks about his new program SocialSim. SocialSim aims to develop innovative technologies for high-fidelity computational simulation of online social behavior, specifically of information spread and evolution. Jonathan also shares his thoughts on complicated issues around privacy and looks further down the road to the future of AI. He talk about the evolving nature of human-machine relationships, and in particular the new etiquette of human-machine interaction. Jonathan is not the only DARPA PM thinking about this. Work out of DARPA’s Defense Sciences Office is developing AI to “intuit” how to behave in specific situations.
It’s an exciting time at the interface of the behavioral sciences and technology. Have a listen!
